Getting Started with Plato Math

Welcome to Plato Math! This guide will walk you through the simple process of creating your account and beginning your mathematical journey. Our platform is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, so you'll be up and running in just a few minutes.

Optional: Take the Placement Test

The placement test will give you a good idea of what topic your child should start with. You'll be able to select that while signing up, and you cannot change it later. So, choose the topic carefully, and if in doubt, use the placement test! Of course, the placement is only an approximation, so if you feel that your child should start with a level other than the one the placement test placed them at, feel free to choose that.

Step 1. Click Sign Up

Afterwards, enter the information that is asked for, and press 'Sign Up'.

Step 2. Confirm Email Address

An email should be sent to your email address. If you did not get it, there's a good chance that it's in your spam folder. If it's not there, then after you verify that you entered the correct email address, click "Didn't receive confirmation instructions?" on the Sign In Page, and re-enter your email address.

Step 3. Sign In and Complete the Introduction Form

After confirming your email address, sign in to your account. You'll be met with an introduction form where you need to choose your starting point. If you're not sure where to start your child, take the placement test that is linked. See the top of the page for more about the placement test. A tip for choosing the starting topic is to choose the earlier topic if there's some uncertainty. After they go through the section, there will not be any more uncertainty, as your child will have mastered that topic. You CAN NOT change the introduction topic, so choose carefully.

Also, you will select how many worksheets your child will do in a day here. We recommend 2 worksheets per day, but you are free to adjust this anytime if you feel the pace is either too fast or too slow.

Step 4. Dashboard and Payment

Now, you'll see the dashboard, where worksheets will be assigned every day. Press the "Print" button to print the worksheet, or "Answer Form" to directly type into the form.

The first time you do this, however, you'll see a payment form. If you're helping us test the platform, DO NOT PAY THE SUBSCRIPTION. We will send you a discount code that makes the subscription free, which you'll enter when you scroll down on the page. If you don't have a discount code, you can press the "Subscribe" button immediately.
